The trip went to Venice. A total of 2 buses were on a 12 day trip. It was not easy to drive over the Alps without the engine boiling. We did not meet a single Danish bus.

HELSINGØR TURISTTRAFIK takes over the operation of the LB ferries from haulier Jens Nielsen. It is probably Denmark’s shortest route – approximately 1½ km. There were many good years with the small route until Scanlines and DSB agreed on a merger. The takeover also includes the garage complex where we still live.
Now the focus was on transporting the disabled. Among our customers was the Hamlet Day Care Center and subsequently also the Poppelgården Day Care Center.
Flemming and John expand the staff with their sons. First Thonny joined and in 1985 Jesper joined. Both started as drivers, but later Thonny became a driver and worked in the office, while Jesper was the bus company’s mechanic.
HELSINGØR TURISTTRAFIK started in 1927. However, it was not until 1928 that Hans Eriksen received the citizenship certificate that gave him permission to run a business.
At the 50th anniversary in 1978, a shield was made with Hans Eriksen. Here you can see the shield with the next 2 generations of the Eriksen family 10 years later.
